Dear Swimmers and Parents
 
Every time that we have an Open Meet at Brighton, there is always regular feedback that the parking costs can be expensive.  Regularly parents have asked why we have not considered booking a coach.  The main response to this has always been the cost implication.
 
I have decided to look into the cost issue in more depth and have just spoken with JG Coaches of Heathfield with regard to tentative booking of the coach for Sunday, 4th September 2011.
 
They have quoted a figure of £410 for a 49 maximum seater coach.  The total cost would include return journeys for both groups travelling for either the am or pm sessions:-
 
1 - pick up am to take group down to Brighton
2 - pick up late am Crowborough to take second group down to Brighton
3 - return journey from Brighton for first group
4 - return journey from Brighton for second group
 
 
The only way that I see this as a viable option is for all swimmers/parents to take this option.  I am emailing you today to get your views on this option.  I would ask that you email me direct on my email address:- gerrystevens23@aol.com confirming how many seats you would require.  I would ask that you do this no later than Sunday 24th July in order that I can make a decision with regard to booking the coach.  At this time I cannot give you a final cost for the coach, however, it would be under £10 depending on the final numbers.
