A team from Beacon Swimming Club travelled to Sevenoaks last weekend to take part in Sevenoaks S.C’s Maritime gala Apart from a host side, there were also teams from Edenbridge Piranhas, Tonbridge and Merton Pisces

The squad managed to produce another strong performance, with wins from Alex Gibb and Callum Gray in the girls and boys 12yrs and under 50m backstroke respectively, Barnaby Medhurst in the boys 11yrs and under 50m breaststroke, Gabby Taylor in the girls 12yrs and under 50m breaststroke, Catriona Gray and  Lee Fenner, in the girls and boys 12yrs and under 50m freestyle. Lee also bagged a win in the boys 12yrs and under 50m butterfly.  At the halfway stage Beacon were in joint first position with Edenbridge Piranhas.

A handful of second places in the relay events and remaining individual races saw Beacon secure second place with Edenbridge Piranhas taking first.
