Beacon Swimming Club gave an impressive performance at Lewes last Saturday, competing for the maurice-breeze trophy against clubs from Lewes, Tonbridge and Bexhill.
for the boys, the winners where: thomas wheller in the 13years & under 50m butterfly, adam fenner in the 12 years & under 50m backstroke, laurance berry in the 11 years & under 50m breaststroke, william brown in the 10 years & under 50m freestyle, ryan wheeler in the 13 years & under 50m backstroke, oliver verrel in the 12 years & under 50m breaststoke, evan draper in the 11 years & under 50m freestyle, marcus goldsmith in the 10 years & under 25m butterfly, harrison stevens in the 11 years & under 50m butterfly and lee fenner in the 10 years & under 50m breaststroke. there were also wins in the girls section for: nina williams in the 10 years & under 50m freestyle, charlotta neele in the
13 years & under 50m backstroke,
rebecca smith in the 13 years & under 50m freestyle, katie allen in the 12 years & under 50m butterfly and anna wild in the 12 years & under 50m freestyle.
in the relays, beacon continued their success with a great team effort and finished the gala in first place. the trophy was received by the team captans tim wood and izzy boddy.
