Deal All,
Over the course of this year Beacon swimming club has made substantive progress toward achieving its significant potential. Some of the achievements over the year are:
The club is now full - comprising around 121 swimmers
Beacon is near to completing its Swim 21application
The club has seen its most successful results in galas for many years
Several swimmers now have aspirations at National level
Behind the success of the club is a very able and enthusiastic group of volunteers: however volunteers is just what they are, many have full time jobs and give up a little of their time when they can, many have supported the club over a number of years.
I am sure you will agree that the club’s reputation and standing has grown over the last year. This move forward has placed additional demands on an already ‘stretched’ group of volunteers. If Beacon is to continue to develop it will need to increase the number of support parents, whether poolside support or those wanting more involvement via a role on the club committee.
The club is moving through a very important phase in its development and I am looking for parents who would like to begin to get involved in the club’s activities.
If you would like to become more involved in helping to run Beacon swimming club I would like to hear from you. If you would like to talk through the skills or help you feel you can offer, you can contact me on 01892 785662 or email me at Andrew@cumberlandplace.co.uk.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards to all
Andrew Moss
Chairman - Beacon Swimming Club
