Sussex County Championships & Age Groups 2015

This last weekend saw Sessions 2 & 3 of this year’s event take place.
Running total of Beacon’s achievements now tally as 62 PB’s [of which a total of 43 were short course PB’s if they’re converted from the long course times!] NO DQ’s.

Age groups competition:
3 Gold medals, 2 Silvers & 4 Bronzes. Well done to Hannah A, Ben K, Daniel B, Arjun W & Ryan W for medalling.
18 top 4-8 placing’s - Hannah A, Lauren C, Jo C, Charlotte C, Daniel B, Ben B, Evan D, Matthew H, Ben K, James Mc, Arjun W & Ryan W.
Championship
6 Finalist Hannah A, Daniel B, Evan D, & Ryan W. With the reward of a Silver medal in men 100m Backstroke for Ryan W.
[Apologies - As yet, this doesn’t include the Senior/Junior rankings as they’re a wee bit more confusing to calculate]
Additional 2 Regional qualifying times of Hannah A as well as 1 British National Championships Qualifying Time in the 50m Free. A massive congratulations, as I believe it the first time Beacon have sent a swimmer to this event for a number of years.
Well Done Everyone for fantastic swimming, as a club we're in 8th overall placing in the Championships, just behind some of the biggest clubs in the County.
This coming Sunday sees the County Relay event which should be a great chance for other members to take part in this year’s competition. Then on the following weekend there are the remaining 2 sessions to bring conclusion to the individual racing.
The times are not going to be loaded on to the Club website until the conclusion of the event, to minimise the possibility of missing any times.
