You will find Beacon Swimming Club an ideal place to start to a swimming career whether for young people who want to develop their swimming to a competitive level after learning to swim or for more established swimmers who perhaps with an eye on fitness see a competitive swimming club as a means to pursue the ‘fitness’ goal.

All our swimmers are encouraged to participate in the competitive aspects of the clubs activities however this (unlike some Club’s) is not a prerequisite for ongoing membership.

You will find information regarding the Club’s training programme elsewhere on this site but one of the key aspects is the range of ability groups Beacon can accommodate, of course we would like and indeed encourage competition to the top level .Where talent is such that we cannot bring swimmers to their full potential the Club will provide appropriate direction.

I have been associated with Beacon Swimming Club as a swimmer and as a parent of swimmers over the past 7 years. I have now taken on the role of Chairman which gives one an entirely different perspective of Beacon Swimming Club, this however simply confirms the depth of support, talent and commitment the club is able to call on from the parents that support its day to day activities.

There is no better place to start a swimming career and I would welcome any enquiry you would like to make of the Club and maybe welcome your swimmers as new members.
