Sussex League Division 2 Round 1

Last Saturday saw the start of the exciting Sussex League Competition. Beacon was in action against, Chichester Cormorants SC [the host club] & Eastbourne SC for the first of the 3 galas. It was advantageous to Beacon as the event was run at Crowborough pool.
It proved to be an exciting evening with the main battle between Eastbourne & Beacon but Chichester has some cracking races as well. Some of the relay races had spectators on their feet as the noise reached deafening levels. The final scores were Beacon 390, Eastbourne 331, and Chichester 282. The Round 2 is on the 6th June, which Beacon are hosting at home. Well Swam everybody, your hard fought efforts keep the possibility of promotion to Division 1 alive, it was so close last year.

Beacon had an impressive 31 individual PBs [3 DQ] from 76 individual swims; these have now been added to the Club website.
