The Club had the honour of welcoming our guests Nicholas Levine, Bill Johnston, Betty Rose, Richard Wadmore (and his daughters) and Anna Dadswell and Jim Fenner on Saturday night to watch Session 4. All of them, very much enjoyed returning to the Club, in some cases for the first time in over 30 years, and sharing memories of their time at the Club. Importantly, all commented how pleased they are to see the Club doing so well at the moment.

The unveiling of our new Trophy cabinet was another highlight of the evening, which looks resplendent in the balcony and a fitting home for both old and no doubt many new trophies. Thanks to all those who worked hard to achieve this fitting addition to the Centre.

Sunday's Session 5 had the pleasure of being over seen by the Sussex ASA President Tim Pearce who thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

The new Skins Event proved to be as exciting as anticipated, the competing swimmers were pushed to their limits but the overall winner for the Girls Skins was Gabby T and for the Boys Skins, Ryan W.  They were award of the new Mark Fuller trophy as well as a cash prize. Katie W & Daniel B were worthy runners up. This event could become an annual part of our Championships as it caused much excitement for those watching with the roof being raised by the swimmers & spectators alike. Thank you to Ivan Horsfield-Turner, MD of Freedom Leisure who presented the prizes for this event.

Beacon SC Club Championships 2015 - after completing 5 sessions the running tally for Beacon SC Club Champs 2015 are as follows :- from 762 swims, 573 PBs, 93 New or improved CQTs; 27 DQs

Our Chairman, William Long, has received an appreciative email from Richard Wadmore (former Club committee and ASA Sussex committee member from the 1980s) which sums up most of the comments from our Guests:-

Dear William,

My daughters and I would like you to thank Saturday's organisers for a very friendly welcome. The Club has progressed beyond recognition from the days when we were active members. On Saturday we saw such enthusiasm from both swimmers and poolside workers that continuing success must be forthcoming.

We are looking forward to joining you at the Celebration Gala next June.

Best wishes

Richard Wadmore

Good luck with the final session of the Club Champs on Monday 7th December - some of the points cups are still to be decided.

Thank you to all the volunteers, Officials & especially the swimmers for making this Champs a grand event
