EGSC’s PUFFIN TROPHY GALA 2014

Saturday, our Junior Team took part in East Grinstead SC’s annual Puffin Trophy
Gala at Horsham; as always a fun & extremely noisy event – the final
few relays were very exciting to watch, with spectators & swimmers cheering
their teams on with great enthusiasm. The young team gave a good account of
themselves against other Sussex Clubs; coming 4th against a strong
Mid Sussex Marlins SC, Atlantis SC, Crawley SC, East Grinstead SC &
Littlehampton SC. Some of the racing was extremely close and the final result
doesn’t reflex some of the good performances. Credit must go to those who were
participating in their first of many inter-club gala for the club. Well done to
you all.
From the 32 individual races there was 20 PB’s [1 individual; 1 relay DQ].
