Beacon Lifesaving Club athlete, Elliot Key, has just returned from Durban, South Africa where he was a member of Team England competing in the Commonwealth Festival of Lifesaving. Elliot, who at 17 was the youngest member of the mens Team, secured an individual bronze medal in the dryside SERC and missed out on a second bronze by .18 secs in the non-contact tow.  Beacon Lifesaving Club and Head Coach Ben Stevens praised Elliot's achievements and commented that in the 7 years since he re-started the club its successes have been far beyond his expectations.  Elliot is our first athlete to compete for England. We have a wealth of talent coming through the club at the moment - I feel sure it is going to be an exciting year ahead.
