Portsmouth Northsea SC Easter Festival

3 Beacon members travelled to the Mountbatten Centre Pool in Portsmouth over the Easter weekend to take part in this level 1 long course meet. Another member had been scratched from this high powered event so it was great achievement just to get there & swim. From 5 swims there was only one PB, congratulations Lauren C for gaining 7th and Ben K for gaining an improved time for his Regional Base QT and 7th position. Sadly, Louisa L was so close to a Regional Base QT but it just wasn't too be, this time.
Well Done to all three of you, as this was a Very high powered meet with a British Age Group Records being broken & many very strong teams from all over the County, not just the South of England. It was reported to have been an intimidating atmosphere, so good experience for those involved, regardless of results.
There is only one meet left for those elusive Regional times before the closing date so fingers still crossed for our swimmers.
