Situations Vacant - can you help?

Dear Members,We currently have two vacancies that need filling within the club. Our club is run wholly by committed and voluntary (mainly) parents and we really need new parents to come forward where possible to help out. Sometimes just a few hours of your time can really help out and ensure the smooth running of our swimming club and also to enable us to continue to offer the opportunties that we do for all our swimmers. If you feel you could offer any time please contact one of the committee members whose details are on the website.
Business Development Officer
The role of Business Development Officer involves developing business opportunities for the club and serving on the club committee. In particular, working to develop business relationships and sponsorship opportunities for the club with local businesses and other swimming, sport and fitness companies, as well as, charities, including possible branding and advertising income for the club. The role will also involve developing and submitting to the committee an annual business development plan setting out business objectives and opportunties for the club for the following year.

Gala Secretary
This role is an integral role to help the smooth running of our club. No experience is necessary for this role but you will have the help and support of committee members plus coaches to help you get started with it. We need someone to come forward asap as this role is vacant.
Below is a description of the role :-
(1) Accept invites to galas from other clubs (if appropriate)
(2) Get Coach to select team
(3) Approach swimmers (via email) to get team organised
(4) Sort out replacement swimmers if needed
(5) Send reminder email to swimmers before galas
(6) Organise poolside helpers for the team
(7) Organise time-keepesr and Judges for each gala
(8) Organise our two home galas, one in May and one in October, with help!
