Sunday saw our Beacon teams taking part in this new format of County Relays; including the Junior & Open Championship relays of previous County competitions. This event tests all swimmers as they are up against strong competition, often with clubs with a greater depth than we have, but all gave a fantastic account of themselves. We did manage to reach some final; sadly missing a few due to it being a six lane pool instead of 8 lane. Often our Teams were gaining 7th or 8th position, therefore 1st or 2nd reserve for the final. [We only had 1 DQ]

Congratulations to:-

Boys 12-13yrs 4x50m team of Arjun W, Ben B, Ben C & Ben K  for coming 4th in the Medley final & 5th  in the Free final.

Open Men 4x100m team of Ryan W, Daniel B, Evan D & Thomas W for coming 2nd in the Medley final & 5th in the Free final.

Girls 4x50m team of Robyn L-R, Charlotte C, Keira E & Ania H for coming 6th in the Medley final.

Junior Girls 4x50m team of Katie W, Louisa L, Maisie M & Hannah A for coming 6th in the Free final.

All the teams swam extremely well with good split times & should take heart in their achievements, even if they were unlucky to not reach the finals.

Our racing was extremely competitive.

Well Done.

Next weekend sees the final 2 days of this year’s County Competition, Good Luck to those still to swim.
