Sussex League Round 2

Beacon team had to make the trip to the West side of Sussex, on Saturday night, to compete at Littlehampton for their Division 1 Round 2 gala. It was always going to be a tough time against the reigning League Champions, Crawley SC & the hosts, Littlehampton SC. And that did prove to be the case, but Beacon were not down about it & came out with wonderful fighting spirit, giving the other teams the occasional wakeup call,  proving they couldn't be complacent in their attitude

The team swimmers managed 26 PBs from 80 individual swims, there were 9 1st placing, 13 2nd placings, 21 3rd placings, 9 4th placings, 18 5th placings & 27th 6th placings [No DQs]. Final scores were Crawley SC 439, Littlehampton SC 343 & Beacon 268

For those who attended, Mid Sussex Marlins B were swimming time trial only & no points or technical decisions were considered throughout the gala.
